What are the best CFD brokers?
The CFDs (Contracts For Difference) are derivative financial products, developed to be able to invest in currencies, stocks, commodities, indices, cryptocurrencies, bonds, and other assets, without the need to have physical ownership of these underlying instruments. These are OTC (Over The Counter) instruments, that is, they are assets that are not listed on an organized market like an exchange. These financial products are widely used by retail investors who have little capital, as well as short-term traders.
By trading with CFDs you will obtain profits or losses according to the difference between the price of a financial asset (a share, a currency pair, an index, etc.) at the opening of a position and the price of the same financial asset when the position is closed; it is not a trade made in the real market, since the asset is not physically bought or sold, a parallel operation is simply performed, replicating the evolution of the price of the asset on which we are trading. Since it is not necessary to own the underlying asset, it is a very agile, flexible, and ideal investment method for short-term trading.
In addition, thanks to its high leverage, only a small amount of money is required from the investor as a trading margin which allows obtaining the effect of trading with a much higher amount (Example: with a 1:100 leverage you will only need to provide $100 as initial trading margin or collateral and you can get the benefits of trading with $10000. In other words, your capital is multiplied by 100 and your market position will be higher).
CFDs also allow the investor to obtain benefits in both bull and bear markets. When trading through a CFD broker, if you think the price is going to rise, you can open a long position and close it later with a sale trade (it is called “go long”) or if you think the market is going to fall you can open a short position and close it later with a buy trade (it is called “go short“). Thanks to the CFDs we can open sale positions, in which we will obtain profits if the price of the underlying asset falls (short trades), with the same ease with which we can open buy positions (long trades). This fact allows obtaining a benefit both in the rises and the falls of the financial markets.
For these reasons, CFDs have become one of the most popular investment instruments today, especially among retail traders. It is also important that you understand the risks involved in the CDFs (especially the risks that come from financial leverage) so that you learn to minimize them using instruments such as stop loss.
To start investing online you need a CFD broker. It is convenient that you work with reliable CFD brokers that are regulated by prestigious bodies such as the British FCA, the Australian ASIC, etc. After having tested and analyzed numerous CFD brokers, at the top you can see a table with those that we consider most advisable to invest.
