In this article we present a version of the Vortex technical indicator developed for the Metatrader 4 trading platform, which can be downloaded and used at no cost. This indicator, although not as well known as other technical analysis tools such as MACD or RSI, can be a useful tool, especially if it is combined with other indicators. In fact, there are different trading systems that incorporate the Vortex and that we will describe later. For now, we will focus on providing a short introduction about this indicator and its trading signals and then we will talk specifically about the Vortex indicator for MT4 and its main features.

This Forex intraday system is based, mainly, on an interesting custom indicator for Metatrader 4 called ProEMAGain. This indicator consists of three exponential moving averages (EMA), and an RSI indicator. These indicators are common tools for the analysis of the Forex market, but here they are combined, originating a very profitable system. This combination gives the right and necessary information, in addition to being visually effective, to make decisions quickly and correctly.
It is recommended to trade with this trading strategy only in the major currency pairs: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, and NZD/USD.

- BarsToCount (normal value = 400): It indicates how many bars or candles are used to calculate the indicator.

Aroon Indicator for Metatrader

Laguerre Indicator for Metatrader 4
In this article, we show a custom indicator for Metatrader 4 and Metatrader 5 that allow adding the Laguerre indicator to a window below the price chart. This indicator can be used to generate buy and sale trading signals, but like all tools developed in technical analysis, it is recommended its used in conjunction with other indicators to increase the reliability of the signals.
Indicator Parameters
gamma (normal value = 0.7): This parameter is the multiplier used in calculating the level lines. The higher this value the smoother it will be the line of this indicator.
CountBars (normal value = 950): It represents the largest number of bars/candles that are used to calculate the Laguerre. It can be used with increasing values unless you experience performance problems with the platform since the higher the number of bars the higher the consumption of resources.
